SCOUTS V BBOB

lost

13-12

on the back of the tour bb welcomed back buzz and will beech bb opened the scoring by a pen from haddon bb took control of the game bb but a misstake let scouts in with a try ,

. the half ended 5-3 down  scouts so called stars could not answer to the power of the bb pack and  had to keep changing the front row.and sean and tom controlling the line out our backs had a lot of ball and gave our backs a platform to mount attacks into the scouts half. scouts gave away 3 more pens just inside there half and with haddon on form were punshed.untill the last few minutes scouts scored again  and a late pen with the last kick of the game scouts won this great game well done bb

TOUR

bb traveled north of the boarder for the scotland leg of the six nations tours, playing two top sides , losing the first by 4 trys to 6 and winning the second 12-5 top try scorer on tour haddon with damien (ratty) with the best diving score to finish off the tour  high lights neil scoring first try of season and trip to murry field .man of match first game connor and second game ryan man of match with man of tour going to will yates. bb steped up there playing style and had a good tour even with light weight liam going to A+E.

BBOB V NEWBOLD

WON 12-10

At last we got to play this fixture on the 3rd time newbold started of the scoring with an unconverted try next ryan ran a solo try in through the newbold backs to score in the courner then converted by haddon, next murph at the back of a scrum through a dummy pass and through players and supporters for a try the firts half ended .newbold started the second half with a try unconverted  the rest of the half was a stale mate but bb battled on and played some good spells of rugby

TOWCESTER V BBOB

lost

50-0

bb took to the field against  towcester   who were just a better side .but bb never gave in and a credit  as many teams in this area just wont play them.Even though we never scored we came close several times. we have to take the plus points in games like these and take them into the next game.,and train harder to try and play like sides who just are better than us.

RUGBY LIONS V BB

won

17-19

bb played this high tempo game with the whole squad playing a vital part lions opened up the scoring with an unconverted try in the courner after liam had dived over the wrong line,

ryan playing on home soil with a point to prove kicked through and picked up the ball to cross the line then converted it. half time came and bb made some changes with some impact players ,lions could not live with our scrums ,but we were still lossing some ruck ball and lions took advantage of this and scored a converted try, this made bb buck up and drove up the pitch with forward power and sam went over under the posts converted by haddon. bb kept up the pressure and the backs crossed the line with liam making up for his mistake, from the kick off lions scored in the courner and needed the conversion to go over as last play, well done but only as good as last game this week you were v.good

man of match Neil Campbell

RUSHDEN V BBOB

Lost

17-25

BB played this away fixture knowing they were never going to win this game, with strange ref decisions and being praised on how they controlled them selves by Rushdens coach. Good points also came out of the game, with both wingers scoring, John Yates getting one and man of the match Nick getting two, one was converted by Haddon.

COALVILE V BBOB

WON

17-39

BB traveled up the M1 in sub zero conitions . playing into a heavy wind and snow  we gave away the first try to a sprited coavile side . but bb responded with two trys by flying winger nick finta  the home side came back and both teams went into the break level.  bb now playing with the wind on their backs lifted there  game and ryan ran in the next three trys followed by ben lambdon playing second row. coalvile scored there only points of the half with the game drawing to a close  will beach finished of the game with the last try of the game..

BBOB V WELLINGBROUGH

TOUR MONEY NEEDS TO BE IN NOW

LOST

14-19

BB lost this game even though they finished the first half leading 14 - 0 with two converted trys by haddon, At the turn around heading back to the club house they relaxed and wellingbrough put more pressure on bb and came away with the win . bb need to finish off teams when they have the opportunity .look at there discipline and need to work on own fitness away from the club ,good performance from  the same few players who give 100% the rest need to look at them  and follow the lead

DUNLOP V BBOB

WON

0-91

BB started the new year with a big bang running in trys from all areas of the park against dunlop rugby club who never gave in and battled on to the final whistle .

Trys scored  NICK+RYAN 3,OLIVER+DAMIEN 2, JACK G +LIAM +CONNOR +JACK C +REECE 1

Conversions RYAN 7, JACK C 1

BBOB V SCOUTS

LOST

what a game you all treated the millers crowd to a high tempo game putting the fear into the scouts players and supporters .hitting the rucks with force tackling with passion out scruming the scouts pack in the first half going into the break 7-0 down

second half started wher the first left off until half way through the half when scouts had a purple patch and scored 3 quick trys,bb where unlucky not to score several times and finished the half on a high

you saved the best to last ending the year on a high with the performance of at least this season every player who took to the field gave 110% , the season has now turned the corner and we can look forward to next year ,dont forget your fitness and diet plan over the christmas break

BBOB V HINCKLEY

LOST

6-30

what a start we got off to scoreing in side the first two minutes with a clever chip by ben for ryan to run on to and put down over the line then he converted his own try the rest of the first half was even with both sides having chances to score with hinckley crossing twice and bb not scoreing again a good half played by both sides .the half ended with a missed panelty by bb.

the second half started and hinckley scored twice in the first 10 miniutes then bb tightened up the tackling but could not cross the line again if only the second half was played as the first half we could have won this match against a well drilled hinckley side.

market bosworth v bbob

won

12-22

At last we get the first win of the season all the hard work you have all put in came off ,with numbers down the whole team up there game ,with people playing out of position  drew on the wing not missing a tackle ,liam in the centers and jack second row thanks to you we came away with a win , bb opened upthe scoring with the forwards wining a line out driving up the pitch followed by crisp hands of the backs ryan went under the posts converted by ben, next sam letts stormed over for the first of his two trys with ben also crossing the line.

BBOB V OLD ALBAINIANS

7-17

Another close game with bb leading at half time thanks to a try by oliver cottle converted by Haddon. With the game looking won, bb let the away side score two late trys to give them a victory. We have got to start closing games out when we have the ball in their 22 .We are now playing a better game than last year in all areas of play, and look forward to taking on the on's next week.

BBOB V MARKET HARBROUGH

0--12

playing with just 15 players and no subs due to holidays and side lined players bb took to the field and produced one of there best performances ever, all the players gave 110% and never gave up when the going got hard you all gave a bit more well done to all of you take this into next weeks game .Team OLIVER,JACK B, NEIL,TOM, SEAN,WILL , NICK,SAM,MURPH,BEN,RYAN, REECE, WILL Y, WILL B, JACK,

ONLEY V BBOB

36-5

BB started well keping the home team in ther half until a kick over resulted in them scoring , the rest of the half was much the same half time came and bb forward started to play better and take controll of the game .this resulted in the backs having some ball and resulted in a try for center beech , the score flatered the home side as a good game was played by both teams with a personal best performance from wing and man of the match JOHN YATES

LEICESTER LIONSV BBOB
