This was the best the squad has played all year with the forwards taking the game to the much bigger rushden forwards being lead well by captain letts.the backs also ran the ball well creating good running lines and scoring well . if the rushden players broke through the first line of defence they ran into man of the match jack garrett who never missed a tackle. It did not matter how we changed the playing line up all bb players gave 110% and never gave up , the try scoring finished with john yates going over the white wash for his first try in bb colcours.well done to all players and sets us up well to our tour to italy.

It was a home game at BBOB, the lads were ready for this game. Leicester were first to put points on the board due to some poor tackling by BB: but they never dropped their heads and BB put some pressure on the Leicester 22 then Neil was driven over for an unfortunate held up try. then from the scrum BB passed well through the backs for Haddon to go over in the corner, which was then converted. South Leicester come back with an easy try but BB woke up and Dean Wicks scored in the corner. Leicester seemed to be asleep as Ben scored two and Ryan got his second running from the half way line. Another good backs move and winger Nick went over. Then forward Jack Breeze went on a powerful run falling to fallback Jack Garret sent him over, which BB realised although they have the power in the forwards. they need to use the backs which shows the in todays score as all backs scored.

BB traveled up the m1 to play this new fixture and coming close to a win, BB once again took the game to the home side in the opening first quarter only for coalville to take possesion in their own 22 and run the ball back and score the first points of the game.Their second try was a much a mirror imaage of ther first .ever battling and never giving up bb forwards opened up their own scoring with Daminen (ratty) going over which was converted by Ben L.
2nd half
now playing down the slope bb took wrong options and lazy running allowed an upbeat home side score again. But now Nick back at his old position of wing stormed over to put bb back in the game to be converted by Ben L. from the following kick off bb fumbled the ball and allowed coalvile back in their half and pressure allowed them to score yet again. This seamed to spure the bb side back into action and they started to work again and a good phases of rugby set up captain letts to do what he does best and drive through several players to put the ball down
man off match
another good performance from wing forward Jack B.
lost
12-52
Another hard game for the young Miller boys playing at home on a hard pitch ,Although we lost this game the score does not reflect the game with bb forwards once again taking the game to Syston .But the Syston backs had more pace out wide and lack off tackling out wide let Syston run in a number of trys. with the two teams playing some good rugby with good comitment from both sides.bb trys came from wing forward Jack B and Ryan H. The team has inproved and the squad should look at how they play and the results will start to come .
Lost
36-15
What a difference a week can make, good weather and BB playing as a team with pride, even though we lost, a much better performance. Oundle opened up the scoring by moveing the ball wide and using ther backs well.bb responded with there backs moveing the ball well to nick finta coming in the line from full back and putting in a clever kick to run onto himself and scoring. oundle then ran in a couple of trys . BB forward by this the had the upper hand in the tight and set up a good try with several phases of play for ryan to score in the corner.
2nd half
BB forwards now showing drive and back row of jack b damien and will y now putting in good tackles and producing good turn over ball bb crossed the line with jack b putting the ball down to finish off the scoring for BB. Also a good solid performance from new boy sean taking up the second row.
lost
5-18
another dissapointing day on the pitch with bb quickly going behind and bugbrooke converting, bb then applied pressure to the bugbrooke line but yet again took the wrong opitions and could have scored 3 or 4 times , even more pressure in the second half saw will beech cross the line but haddon was unable to convert. we have got to learn rugby is a team game and it is just as good to put your team mate in for a try as yourself.we have got a good number of individual players but we must play as a team.

37-7
BBOB played a second week on the race course against a better towcester side.with players turning up late we had to start with a bare 15 players but we battled hard and were always in the game even though the score doese not show this .our only try came from sam letts which was converted by haddon .we have now had two hard games in a row and now need to take what we have learned from these into next weeks game against bugbrooke
38-0
Even though we lost this fixture this was a lot better performance even when we went behind. heads never droped and bb kept battling on into a very strong on's side only letting them score 5 points in the second half. if we had kicked our pen's in the first half instead of running if would have been a much closer score.
we need to slow down think and way up all our options before rushing of with the ball. another strong performance by nick will b and ryan with all the forwards scrumaging well but need to get more mobile.
12-15
BB lost this fixture due to the lack of cometment by certian players backing of the tackle despite this two good trys were scored by ryan and will beech .the team will have to do a lot beter next week
12-12
1st half
bbob took to the field after a two week break and looked rusty and slow to pick up the pace of the game this resulted to newbold scoring two trys and converting one which would have been more if it was not for winger nick finta putting in another good performance.this spured the rest of the squad to lift them selfs and sam lets ran in a solo try from his own half.
2nd half
bb played a little better in this half and kept newbold out from the scoring zone.with added pressure and the backs running some ball now ryan moved from center to fly half and scored under the post from a storng run through newbolds players and converted his own try.
man of match nick finta
won
62-5
BB had another good day on the pitch winning this local derby with ease but the daventry side never gave up and kept battling on.Connor scored first for his first try in bb colours ,Next Ryan went over for a hat trick of trys converting two.Jack b kept up his scoring ways by going over the line converted by ben. Then Neil drove over for another forwards try converted by Ryan this ended the first half 38-0
2nd half
BB continued the pressure on the daventry line with captain letts going over converted by ryan. daventry then had a rare visit to bb 22 and scored a try. Letts responded well getting on the end of a well worked backs move to cross the line for his second try converted by Ben. Playing in the centers and out of position Liam then went over the line for his third try in two weeks.next stepped up fly half Ben to enter in the scoring and finish the match as it had started with bb squad developing into an impressive side

BB travelled away to Vipers on a cold wet and windy morning. BB welcomed back captain Letts from injury and took the game to vipers opening up the scoring with Kier going over next followed Jack Breeze crossed the line from a well worked line out move conversion Haddon.next to score was Liam conversion Haddon next was the try of the season by Finta running from his own 5m through the vipers team conversion Haddon.then Hardwick had a good spell of play scoring another two trys both converted by Haddon. Cottle then went over to end the first half followed by a drop goal convert by Letts
2nd half
With the vipers team now falling apart with the constant scoring and hard tackling of BB . vipers asked for some help and took Tom Plater,Liam Treacy and Will Yates on to their side .this inspired the vipers to lift themselves and give them some belief.but BB still scored two more trys one from Damien (ratty) and one from Jack (ginger) then player of the day liam now playing for vipers ran from his 22 to score in the corner for vipers
a good squad performance from first whistle to last.
lost
bb entered this game on the back of two good wins ,the winning run came to an end facing a much better team from across the county boarder, the first half started with a kick off by bb oadby catching the ball and running it back to score in the corner despite the hard tackling of bb centers and winger the bb could not stop the onslought of points mounting up
2nd half
bb decided to step their game up and produced a well worked try from forward power and scrum half Ryan going over the line converted . the game then entered a hard battle as bb fronted up more and did not concede so many points in the 2nd half.
this was a game to learn from but the bb never gave in and kept battling hard
0-33
BBOB travelled away for this fixture only losing one car on the journey, the game started off just as last weeks ended with bb winning good ball and the backs passing down the line only just missing out on scoring in the first minute. Next followed another good showing of hands for Kier to storm down the wing for the first of his trys. Not to be out done by the backs the forwards muscled there way over and Will yates scoring Ryan haddon converted .The fist half ended at 0-12 with leighton conceeding all the pressure mostly in their half.
2nd half
Leighton came back at BB and nearly scored but dogged defence kept the home side out and BB ran out of their 22 followed by a kick by Will Beech and Kier picked up the ball on the bounce and ran the try in Ryan Haddon converted. Then the forwards produced some good phases of rucking and mauling driving to the home sides line with Will Yates going over for his second ,converted by Haddon as the game was coming to the end BB picked the ball up passed down the line for Will Beech to touch down. converted by haddon
15-25
bb traveled away to this new fixture with out captain who injured himself in training multi tasking trying to pass and run at same time .this was a much better performance than last week with the forwards dominating Again and producing some good ball for the backs to run onto at pace. the home team opened up the scoring bb then scored in the corner with a well worked maul and liam scoring st albainians then used the wind to their advantage and kicked well into the corners which resulted in a try.bb returned the score with ryan running the ball back well setting up a ruck and jack b picked up and went over
2nd half
with the wind now on the backs of bb more pressure was put on the home team and ben went over the line followed by ryan the home side returned with one try this spured the bb squad on and a clever kick by ben into the corner for captain of the day jack g to run onto and put down in the corner
a much better performance against an unknown team
scouts v bbob
lost
following on from last weeks good performance the bb forwards started well with winning scrums as last week but were slower around the park than the more experienced scouts pack. with them losing out on 50/50 ball the scouts turned over more ball which gave their backs a good attacking position .with the bb backs missing some tackles and the scouts breaking them the result of the game could only be one of a loss . the bb squad must learn from this experience and take next week as a new challenge and pick ther heads up and put it right next week as we travel away to a new side never played before in st albans
score 3-12
Playing against a favoured Oundle side BBOB forwards took the ball to the Oundle pack and won a large pecentage of the ball, Oundle started the points with a well kicked penalty, BBOB replied with a penalty kick by Haddon, Oundle came back with an unconverted try in the corner against the run of play with the BBOB taking control of the scrums and winning ball against the head, all under the control of the captain Sam Letts.
Second half BBOB continued with the good work and some good backs moves from Will Beech and Ben Lambdon all kicking and running the ball, back to the Oundle forwards condsieraing BBOB played two teams they upheld their strong will and determination and only conceeded one more try at the end of the match.
This was a fantastic performance by all the BBOB squad be proud of yourselves and keep up the good work.
